In the Portait of the Artist, Dedalus talks about how Aquinas has inspired his sense of aesthetics, which he describes as the "rhythm of art". It's in the fifth chapter when he has a walk with his friend Lynch. I have not read anything by Aquinas (that I remember), but I really like Joyce' description here and it got me curious. So if I want to read what Aquinas wrote on aesthetics, where should I start? Guy wrote a whole bunch, and his bibliography doesn't exactly make it obvious at a glance at which point he talks about this particular subject.
If his writings on aesthetics are hidden between those on other subjects (like theology), I do not mind. Please just recommend me a specific book to start with.

Started reading this recently, finished the third chapter today. Didn't expect such a vivid description of hell out of this.

Then again, no idea what I expected. I thought this was just about comfy childhood nostalgia.

There is a lot of stuff about Irish history and politics in this that is over my head. Anyone know of a good non-fiction book that will fill in the gaps of my knowledge?

I think literature is the only thing we're good at.
