>he thinks he can have a decent discussion of Marxism on the internet in Anno Domini 2020
We already have it. The discussion became decent the moment you hit the post button.

Could you say more about the application of these ideas to real events? I was thinking primarily about Leninist politics and the reformations therein, but your suggestion to use elements of theoretical-Marxism is interesting.

Good morning, lads. Hope everyone is doing well. If you're not, it's never too late to catch up. You're capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for.

i never noticed that the chart recommended tillich's "the courage to be." for anyone facing existential crises, this would be the first book i'd recommend.

if it sounds appealing, then go into kierkegaard, augustine and plato for further development.
>specifically, plato's "laches" and "phaedo"

if it sounds like corny horseshit, carry on, my wayward son. (to be fair, it is pretty simplistic)
>p.s. upon his death, a BDSM dungeon was rumored to be found in tillich's basement. rad.

thanks guys! I've kept writing it since then partially thanks to nice comments like these. maybe it could be a novel? I don't know, but it's very fun.

this is pretty interesting. like the other anon says you need to try reading it aloud because some of it is a little awkward, but it's effective at getting across a mood, and I think that's what you're aiming at, right? I like those opening few sentences especially.

But I'm not a Maoist. The book I was recommending above, the Pantsov one, concludes that Mao was a monster as well. It just doesn't need to make shit up to say that. Come on, /pol/ friend, there's no need to be rude about these things. Maybe you should stop being so upset about communism on the internet.

at best, hemingway gave some tips for being a writer. look it up. also, although hated by /lit/ palahniuk and vonnegut also have tips for would be writers

>Gary Provost
This sentence has five words. Here are five more words. Five-word sentences are fine. But several together become monotonous. Listen to what is happening. The writing is getting boring. The sound of it drones. It’s like a stuck record. The ear demands some variety. Now listen. I vary the sentence length, and I create music. Music. The writing sings. It has a pleasant rhythm, a lilt, a harmony. I use short sentences. And I use sentences of medium length. And sometimes, when I am certain the reader is rested, I will engage him with a sentence of considerable length, a sentence that burns with energy and builds with all the impetus of a crescendo, the roll of the drums, the crash of the cymbals–sounds that say listen to this, it is important.
