Not to get too offtopic (but in a weird way this doesn't feel that offtopic for Tomberg's oeuvre), but I really can't describe why I find the anthropomorphized Egyptian animal gods (Thoth, Anubis, Horus, Set, etc) so interesting but also kinda creepy. Attaching the unreadable visage of an animal onto a deified human form is just bizarre to me. It also doesn't help that Egyptian mythology is very violent and none of the gods are ever portrayed showing any real discernible emotion whatsoever.

Mind you I don't get creeped out by comparable furry shit. That shit's just weird beastial fetishism.

It's very presumptuous to assume that you have to use spooky CB radio communications to try and independently contact and demand special insights/objectives straight from God. There probably isn't anything that God could come and give you a mystical vision for in your life that you couldn't also discern just from good old introspection.

Even if I were a pagan living in 300 BC Egypt, I wouldn't go demanding "an audience" with gods.
