Which one would be easier to write for an amateur: a story grounded in the real world with a certain supernatural element thrown in and the world adapting to it, or an absurdist, abstract comedy with said supernatural element along with other abstract elements? I feel like I have a really good concept, but I don't know which way to go with it. From the notes I've compiled so far it shapes up like a bit more or a serious story, but I really want to do the latter and some notes point to a more satirical tone. Which one is more realistic for an inexperienced writer?
