I read through the first third of the pdf just now and was struck with utter terror that this may one day be me. Infinite Jest is simultaneously overhyped and overcriticized and you should read it to see for yourself. Huxley's Island is very good and a necessary follow up to Brave New World (which I see you also have and which is okay) but I recommend reading Doors of the Perception online in between to help fill in the gap.

Also! Don't spend your social security on retarded shit. These books are enough entertainment to keep you busy for around a year. Use social security as a springboard towards more substantial living. Since you are diagnosed schizophrenic, are you set up with SMI or an SMI clinic? Those may be helpful resources to you; although I've met many homeless schizophrenics, I've also known a few working ones who are functional despite mild perceptual distortions. It's doable.
