Some dude uploaded a series of Deleuze lectures on YouTube. They're all in French though and the quality is a bit shit.

I think Bannon finally proved what Marxists feared all along, that Post-structuralism were crypto-conservatives.

Deleuze's work requires intimate familiarity with a great number of other works, studied in a particular way. Doesn't this make it anti-rhizomatic? Having an extremely opaque list of prerequisites to reading your work is the most hierarchical thing I can imagine.

I'm going to go ahead and admit I stopped reading 10 pages into Difference and Repetition, 5 pages into ATP, and some unknown amount into AO, because they were impossible to understand for the above reason.

Please tell me if I'm going about this the wrong way.

I posted this in /his/ as well, but due to unfamiliarity with the board I didn't realize it was just /pol/ 2.0. My mistake.

All I have to do is look up a thesarus, throw a bunch of terms together i.e fancy words and then i will be celebrated like he is

Looking to delve into Deleuze. I've read the occasional Foucault (Abnormal, History of Sexuality) but am still largely unknown to the field of poststructuralism. Before starting with A Thousand Plateaus, I found some articles/books that might be good preparation:

-Janet Watson: Culture as Existential Territory
-Jacques Derrida: Speech and Phenomena
-Jacques Derrida: The Animal That Therefore I am

What is a good reading order? Is delving into A Thousand Plateaus the right thing or should I read Lacan/Derrida first? What parts of ATP can I skip to still get a correct understanding of Deleuze?

Haven't done this for a while and thought we could have some reasonable discussion after the recent debacle. Ask me anything about Deleuze's philosophy and/or reading recommendations. I haven't been reading much Deleuze lately so I'll get a chance to brush up. I'm also not as sympathetic to Deleuze as I have been but I'd still really appreciate it if the orthodox Marxist who always tries to derail these threads would refrain from doing so.
