Books I remember standing out to me were The Cay, Hatchet, The Hobbit, Goosebump books, Deltora Quest and Harry Potter.

Does anyone else feel like when they are surrounded by non-readers they are less inclined to read in their spare time?
I moved from New York to Los Angeles last year and find the amount of books I've read since has greatly diminished. I also feel like the amount of literature-related conversations I've been in has lessened. Am I just hanging out with the wrong people or is this just the decline of the written word at work?

Picture related, I just talked to a 4th grader about why this book was good.
