Christ was born without sin. He was fully God and fully man. We aren't so lucky. We have the freedom to prefer sin over love for Christ and each other. Many times, this choice is seemingly made for us by our own traumatic experience. I'm certain many pedophiles were abused themselves, priest or not. But priests have been educated and sworn to protect the flock of man, they stand in place of Christ. Priests who forswear their vows and harm the littlest among us are literal satans. They have trespassed against Christ. For the sake of the good, they must be damned.
