I really like the way she writes about people taking responsibility for their own existence, and focusing on applying themselves rather than complaining about someone owing them anything.

I also like her no-nonsense attitude. The "could've, should've, would've" or "if only"-principles being garbage, and actions speaking more loudly than anything else.

I don't like her writing style - for example in Atlas Shrugged when John Galt went into a monologue that never ended, and basically was just Rand using the character to rant about her philosophy.

I also don't like how black-and-white her books portray things. Either you are a do-good beautiful successful Capitalist, or you're an evil, cowardly, ugly Parasite. What about the people in between? Where does for example a handicapped kid with downs syndrome fit in her world view?

Hey /lit/ can I get some recommendations for books about Marketing and Public relations? I am starting a job doing copywriting and media management at a small local company and the boss told me to look through some such material.

Hey /lit/ any advice for writing copy? I have an opportunity to work for a small local business writing the adcopy for their website. I'm wondering if any of you can share experience and stories with a novice.
