I wouldn't say I disliked it but again, was subpar compared to Blindsight. I don't really get the POINT of Echopraxia. Nothing really occurs that alters the narrative presented in Echopraxia (I could be wrong, I'm a year+ and many books in between my Blindsight read), and I didn't understand the point of many elements, like why was Portia present/even a thing?/what were the Bicamerals up to? (they were nice ideas and I wish we had seen/interacted with more of them)/why was Moore presented as Siri's dad even though nothing really happens regarding that other than Moore trying to get signals from Theseus and being obsessed like any parent would?/etc. Lots of unanswered questions.

I really want to go through the postscript and read up on some of the empirical articles, especially about the brain being a receiver for consciousness, and about religion as an adaptive system. Also I was laffin when Watts ripped into invisible sky fairies.

I'm interested in what Lift's connection with Cultivation is, overall, since she could tamper with Odium's visions. Her metabolism of Stormlight is definitely unique and from the Nightwatcher.

We've only seen a handful of different Surgebinders showcased. It'll become more interesting once more Knights Radiant begin cropping up. Plus remember that Surgebinding is one-third of Roshar's magic system. We still have Voidbinding and whatever crazy shit Cultivation can produce, like the Nightwatcher's boons/cursing providing effects such as metabolization of food into Stormlight for Lift.

One 'fight' scene I enjoyed was the end fight against Orannis in Abhorsen, mainly due to Mogget being credit to team, stepping up, and going, "Nah, bitch".

Obligatory mention for Kaladin vs. Szeth too. Kaladin's arrival, line, the subsequent fight in the Everstorm, and Kaladin completely outclassing him.

Some of the ending skirmishes against the Inhibitors in Absolution Gap were pretty radical, what with all the hyper-advanced technologies employed.

And, of course, Kelsier vs. Inquisitors. I remember God King vs. Everybody Bad at the end of Warbreaker was pretty fucking hype too.

Why am I enjoying the two Foundation sequels so much more than the original trilogy? Is it because it follows one specific story, and one cast of characters throughout all events?
I was surprised at how enthralled I became reading Foundation's Edge, and I'm still in the first bits of Foundation and Earth but greatly enjoy it. For some reason, I love the chemistry and interaction between Pelorat and Trevize.

Honestly, it frustrates me that he began writing for the sole purpose of writing the Cosmere yet he takes many 'breaks' through writing other unrelated books. His reasoning is that it keeps him fresh and if he didn't write the other books, we would still get large gaps with NO books.

Maybe I'm selfish and autistic about this but I don't personally understand it nor like it. If I got into writing to write one specific huge meta series, I'd be busting my ass to get it out and complete. We're already looking at a good 25-30 more years, at least.

Stormlight Archive is going to be his first (at this rate, only) 'epic' with ten books total. There will be both an in-world and real life time gap between Books 5 and 6 (modern Mistborn will be written during this time, probably some other shit as well.)
