What's the consensus on translations? I only read English works because I'm a monolingual chad like Shakespeare.

You can do anything you put your mind to. I didn’t start writing until 28. I have 14 finished novels and one 1/2 finished with another 6 planned to write in the future. I choose to write. I choose to spend my time on something that will yield a solid result and justify my time spent. Don’t be like so many who have to ask permission or wait on the approval of others. Make a plan and start today. I have every confidence. Go do good things.

Writing is an art and unless you’re compelled and driven to create through words then you should do something else that makes you happy. I love creating stories based on the concepts of my childhood daydreams. A day writing is never a day wasted

Hello fellow novelists and writers of /lit/. I wanted to share with you the fact that as of this month I’ve been writing for 15 years, and five of that has been shared here with you. Thanks for both the support and tough love when I was fucking up. Here’s to fifteen more. And if you’re writing or thinking about writing.... do it. At worst, you’ll fail. But if you never start you’ll never know the profound feeling of reward that comes from doing it. I hope you’ll bet on yourself and take a chance. 15 years ago I picked a direction and started walking, unconcerned about whether other people would like or approve of what I did. The journey is a long and sometimes lonely one. Time spent over a keyboard for hours, days, weeks, and even years on end are needed to craft the words how you imagine then to be and there where you find your own voice which separates your work from others. This post is getting too long, but I thought you should know.
