Egoism is the way to go IMO when it comes to politics. I just have thoughts. However the cards fall, that's my politics. Where people map it to the spectrum is of no concern of mine. That's their problem. The "spectrum" is a spook, easily manipulated to condition herd mentalists into viewing everything in terms of simple binary oppositions.
This also leads me to absorb all areas of political thought without feeling that I need to toe the line on one side or the other. Whether it be /pol/ or /leftypol/ , I'm there for my own amusement. You begin to notice that the right and left are mad about the same things, though they are prevented from joining together -- to the terror of the elites-- by a completely unnecessary culture war which the elites encourage as a divide and conquer strategy. Both sides have their nonexistent boogeymen, conspiracies, misinformation, self-deceptions, which they take to be the truth and the other side sees to be false.
