I'm tired of threads like these. I say we start a new movement. I have to tell every I'M PLEB AND I'M PROUD

Most of my reading are SF/Fantasy series, and I only do them in 15 minute bursts throughout the day because I have a short attention span. I only like an interesting plot, I don't care about the "classics" and have trouble reading them anyway, I don't care about "beautiful" prose because it all looks like the author masturbating, and I learn about philosophy from the 8-bit philosophy youtube show. I'm monolingual and don't care what translation I get because they always follow the same story anyway.

But you know what? I don't let it bother me. I have fun reading, and I'll never change myself because someone on the internet doesn't like it.

Is anyone else PLEB AND PROUD?

So what do those with short attention span do when reading to make themselves get through a book?

Me, I started reading when playing vidya. During a loading screen or whenever I just had to wait, or during a cutscene, or when I just have to walk forward in the game and I can just hold a single button down, I use that time to read a couple paragraphs of the book. For some reason, I don't have a short attention span when I play video-games, so I can be playing them for hours at a time, so when all those little pauses add up, I get through a good chunk of the book during my gaming session!
