The point is that Cnaiur could have been that, had he not met Moenghus. As said somewhere in the aspect emperor series, Cnaiur could have been the greatest of mortal heroes were it not for meeting a dunyain in passing and being driven insane.

Anyway, the Cnaiur=Conan stuff is very on the nose:

But its all superficial. Cnaiur gets broken. Hes performatively violent where Conan is masculine, and vicious where Conan is dominant. Its the same traits Conan has, just their more toxic aspects in a less accommodating world. In a Conan story, Serwe would swoon into Cnaiur's arms after being rescued. In APoN Cnaiur just rapes her because hes trying to cope with being dunyain'd by cleaving to Scylvendi ideals.
