Modern literature is filled with women and normalfags that have an average IQ of 105-110, no inner monologue to help detail their thoughts on paper, brimming with genre fiction, and a ton of it is done for monetary reasoning as a priority instead for artistic sake.
No shit most of those who read, appreciate, and enjoy literature would read materials from centuries ago.
