I spent about 4-5 years working in libraries (my undergrad university and two smaller public ones) and my experience was mostly positive. Based on what I saw, most libraries are looking for long-lasting employees, and tend to hire people who are older and want to stick around, supplementing with student/temp workers for summer reading programs and other events.

If you're serious about trying to get this job, I would emphasize building a career with the library or a similar angle. Also, most library managers are fucking swamped every day, so be patient with them finding your resume. If they're interested in you, they'll call.

Its like /v/ but with literature. Replace games for specific titles, and developers for books.

My work is done here.

If you read 1984, you're going to want to smash every surveillance camera you see. Just a warning.

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

Its kind of cool because its the point at which you can tell that he stopped caring about appealing to a mainstream audience and he just let the crazy flow unfettered onto the page.
