Peterson believs that a person needs many different cops to sustain himself in the face on doom. (and no to kill himself)
He dislikes postmodernists because he thinks that in their works they strip human of all his possible copes, implying that these copes are not actually real and don't belong to them. Postmodernists enlighten people about their copes, leaving everyone naked.

Please, remember that Peterson is a clinical psychologist - he acts exactly like one. He wants to protect our copes.

Fitness in general is a modern religion. You don't hate christians for their beliefs, right /lit? Why would you hate fit people?
People are repeating the same action again and again every day with hope of improvement while having no proof that their limits can actually be surpassed. Just like religious people have no idea whether their god is real - they have to suspend the disbelief.

There is nothing wrong with religions btw.
