I try to push this view on my friends but they always choke up and feel ashamed of themselves. It really bums me out. I even bought a djembe because I figured anybody can bang along with me on that. They're all too self-conscious to bang one single drum. They don't realize that I don't care about making good music. I don't care about making coherent music. I just want to express my feelings with my friends.
