In fact, I can relate this idea of musicianship I developed here (>>2824568) to my OP.

If you want to successful relationship (a relationship that lasts and preserves itself) then, like the musician, it is proper to start from the beginning with a long-term commitment. Like the beginning guitarist who humbly submits himself to simple chord patterns and scales to begin with, so that some day in the future he might be an accomplished musician, in a relationship you have to commit to a long term vision and build a structure that begins with fundamentals.

Modern flimsy bf/gf "relationships" are like the guy who bought a guitar because he though it'd make him look cool if he could play that one song, and so he picks up the guitar once in a while, sloppily hammers out a riff or a few chords he haphazardly picked up one day, and never makes any real progress. He is a dabbler, and so are these people who don't start their relationship with a commitment, they are dabblers in love -- they tell themselves that they are "waiting to see if they are compatible", but what they are really doing is dabbling. Stopping and starting. Rushing into something with brash enthusiasm, and then falling back again when they realize that they were ill-prepared for it.
