I linked a page with a plot summary here >>18851069. It's a dark fantasy VN set in fully realized alternate history shogunate Japan (called Yamato) in which people possess supernatural sentient armor suits created from living souls. It's written by an IRL expert swordsman and contains detailed descriptions of kenjutsu in fights. It's hard to go too much into the plot without spoiling things, but it's also a philosophical story exploring the themes of justice and vengeance and the author's novel ethical philosophy of the counterbalance of good and evil. Really it's just the best VN.

I don't like it either, but not for the same reasons. I used to be a weeb and over the years I gradually ended up detesting it. A few of my favorite pieces of media are still Japanese, but I don't engage with that culture anymore. That being said, it's almost unavoidable on imageboards, no matter which one you go to. As long as it doesn't derail the thread I don't think it's worth getting upset about since there's no way to get rid of it.
