This
I usually libgen a book and skim it, analyze the table of contents, or even read the first chapter or two
Then I buy the book on Amazon
Because I want to read in many locations
And because there is a more tangible sense of "location" to each page that I can return to. Something that is lost in an eReader of any kind. I buy books to absorb them and fully integrate them into my mind. I can retrieve the thoroughly underlined copy of a book I've read, and remember exactly what chapter an underline is in during discussion with friends. I cannot do that with eReaders, maybe some of you can.
