There are thousands of interpretations, yet all of them eventually end up sounding completely insane.
How is it not a disgusting, dishonest and untrue ideology, disproven even before it existed? Seems as though even children with the most basic questions are able to shake it's flimsy answers to ruin

This Christmas my grandmother gave me a copy of the Living Bible. I was planning on reading it but decided to look up the difference between it and the Holy Bible. I find out that it is paraphrased and stuff.

What is the preferred translation of the bible?
I'm looking between NASB, ESV, and NRSV. But any other english translations would be great to hear about.
This is mostly from a academic perspective as getting as close to the original greek/aramaic
I've read the KJV already, it's a good translation but I want to read other ones, so please don't recommend it or claim it's the only one that can ever count.

Out of the many versions of bible which exist, which one is divinely inspired and in what language? I don't want to take my chances with some random scribe accidentally writing a false word and thus condemn me to hell
