I've watched a adapted film and played the game as well. I don't know what it is but I'm searching for similar ones... I enjoy the grim of it all.

>Good based on how close it stays to the events and/or themes of the book
This.

Would a 'good film adaptation' even work well for Blood Meridian, given the content?

Examples I always assume would be difficult to translate would be Dune, Roadside Picnic, War & Peace, The Forever War, Snow Crash, etc.

Most novels tend to receive a (or more) televised adaptation(s).

Alright /lit/, let us see how many novels you're willing to list down that are merely impossible due to the material in hand, etc.

[Pic related, Blood Meridian]

At least you aren't pretending.
At least you don't have to deal with ADHD. Shit becomes a problem when I try to read a classic the length of War & Peace for example.

Afterwards, what should I tackle next of the same caliber?

I'm currently reading Under The Skin, afterwards I'll begin reading BM.

Been holding it off for some time due to all the things I've heard about it. The diction seems like a pain though.

Heard this book is pretty 'trippy'.

That is the problem, I ain't going full on intervening on their private affairs. Perhaps the rush of doing something...'different' will have kept me at bay. And whilst communities are concerned, I don't plan on striking many homes with this. It'll be a short-lived fuse...but exciting nonetheless.

A 'cowardice' towards an idea that hasn't really been done before. I am conducting this experiment mainly to see what happens within the community, and to hound my own writing techniques whilst using anons as 'test subjects' for my experiment. I ain't looking to become some successful pioneer of any tropes or techniques, if I were, I wouldn't become the anonymous crafter of said novels.

I'm merely looking to do something that I've never done before...have a little fun whilst at it.

Not planning on spamming folks multiple times. I shall construct a map and cross out homes I've already delivered. I'll deliver a handful of copies in the dead of night (preferably around 3-4 AM), head back, and await a couple of days to see if any news of 'mysterious novels' strikes.
