Would a 'good film adaptation' even work well for Blood Meridian, given the content?

Examples I always assume would be difficult to translate would be Dune, Roadside Picnic, War & Peace, The Forever War, Snow Crash, etc.

Most novels tend to receive a (or more) televised adaptation(s).

That is the problem, I ain't going full on intervening on their private affairs. Perhaps the rush of doing something...'different' will have kept me at bay. And whilst communities are concerned, I don't plan on striking many homes with this. It'll be a short-lived fuse...but exciting nonetheless.

A 'cowardice' towards an idea that hasn't really been done before.
