Not all Jews. Some have Sheol which is even divided in description. Sheol to some is just a place EVERYONE goes regardless of their belief in god; People are seperated by their levels of purity however.
Then some people believe Sheol as a waiting place.

It's all confusing and is why I'm secular.

So I was checking the books section of my local charity store today when I came across these [See image]. At 50p each I decided to buy them, these things are ridiculous... yet intriguingly quite detailed. Anyone else had experience with these?

Disapointed by some of the titles on here (Atlus Shrugged) and disapointed in the ones that didn't make it (Petersburg by Bely).

Not really no, I'm Scottish. I just like his short stories, they're witty and fun and good for on the train/bus to college.

I have about 100 unfinished novels laying about my room. I find I tend to incorporate things from other unfinished novels into newer ones though, so it's got some upsides.

A History of Britain by Richard Dargie is a good place to start for British history. It's cheap, and gives details of key events in Britain from c.700,000 bc with our first "ancestors" upon till the New millenium and New Labour. It's straight to the point to. Detailed enough for you to have an understanding of key events, but there is still room for you to open your knowledge base wider if you so wish.

One Hundred Years of Solitude here, I'm not getting this graph at all. I'm assuming the higher numbers represent the "less dumb" you are, yes?

Waiting on Hollywood to make a good film version of anything...

Also, it's been done, and it was beautiful. But it's european and italian so I guess that's not good enough for you.

Two movies?

Also, the book isn't there to walk you through some half baked plot, go read some genre fiction if all you want is a nice story to have beside your bed.

Trainspotting is a look into the culture and society that surrounds leith and it's predominantly working class citizens. But who cares about that, I want to have the writer hold my hand and tell me a folk tale.

...and I don't even like Irvine Welsh.
