Oh really intriguing and I partially agree with him there. Where should I begin with him?

Yea I don't hate who I've become, but lately I've been trying to expand my knowledge and gain wisdom so my diffident nature was a startling reminder to who I was.

I'm happy to hear that there's a book that shares a similar experience as mine. Will be checking out. Thanks!

Are there books on the degradation of one's self? As a kid I used to be very opinionated, creative and critical of the world around me. I used to be very stubborn and self-assured - never caving in to pressure and always staying true to what I believed. Problem is I'm not like this anymore. Unironically 14yo me was smarter than current me (20). I hardly have a stance on anything either because of ignorance or fear of being wrong. No longer am I confident in my opinions. This seems to be a struggle unique to me. Every person no matter if they're a dimwit, midwit or topwit seem convinced in their worldview and beliefs. Maybe I'm overstating this issue in order to feel good about the past. I dunno honestly. Can a smart do a deeper analysis on this development please?

I guess that consumerism is part of the life of most normies, the difference is that bugmen have an obsession with specific products and brands.
It is some sort of emotional attachment, they possibly form bonds with brands due to a lack of real life personal relationships.
