One time I drove to uptown and settled into a bar. A man 12 years my senior hit on me and bought me drinks. I was writing, and he was curious. I'm not used to being bought drinks.

I drove home after the bar closed. I was on probation.

One time I blacked out and attempted to evade arrest in my car. I came to my senses driving in on a college lawn and parked on the wrong side of the street, where I was arrested at gunpoint. Spent 2 nights in 2 jails. That was fun.

I drank a 1/2 a 5th of another guy's whiskey after pounding an unknown amount of unremembered liquid. I ended up being convinced to drink a bowl of water as if it were wine, then was driven home raving about suicide. That was a bad time.

The best story? No alcohol:
One time, I wanted weed, but all I could get was K2. Outside the shop was an opportunistic random minority man who wished me to drive him to his friend's house, he told me I could score there. So I drove a random man to a random house, where he got me a 1/4 oz weed for a good price. I went home and was sated.

I assume inability to properly associate stimulus and qualify them would lead to a low IQ.

I also assume that there is a proper method to teach them. Depending on the severity of their schizophrenia.

Ehh I'm kinda similar.

It's more "instant inspiration drawn from novelty/overexposure".

Allows quick connections that make the point which may/may not be forgotten.

The men who flew planes into towers spoke nothing to become canonical in our history.

Titian worked for commission.

Very few write to become canon, and those men who do are either deluded or prophetic/unique.

Since we all die, there's no shame in contributing a small amount. I wonder how many Greats would trade more life for less posthumous fame.

How dare you call that hackwork.

I loved the word kipple.

I enjoyed the migration aspect.

I loved the value he gave life and the strange practices he gave society.

It was a cool book. PKD does cool shit.

But I also love Blade Runner.

2 good responses. Read both in high school.

Candide isn't long, but it's hilarious and good. Voltaire can play with words. Or his translator.

thucydides peloponnesian war

but there's a lot more in that

Also, Bella Gallica - Caesar is pretty awesome.

Probably read the history of Mao, Ho Chi Minh, the Taiping Rebellion is nuts but different.

I've not read it. I've bought it. It's in my "to do" stack.
