Science progresses, so people get more educated. As economies develop less people get malnourished. Modern medicine and sanitation prevents people from getting brain damage and infectious diseases that fuck up your brain. Is this really that hard to understand?

Greeks, Augustine and Aquinas are NPC philosophers, so those make sense, but can you tell me how Kant helps you live a happy life?

Nothing. People who don't subvocalize when they read are either bugmen or just mentally impaired. Same for visualization generally.

Can you please not be anti-semetic here? A lot of /lit/ browsers are jewish or have jewish heritage. I know you're trying to make a funny post, but you've done so by editing a famous anti-semetic quote, literally from a person who was in the top of the nazi-leadership. Not cool

Lmao. I'm gaining a little more sympathy for him now. I actually don't dislike peterson even though he has 0% philosophical substance. My perception of him is transitioning from "money grabbing conservative boomer" to "early-onset alzheimers sentimental boomer"

Actually after watching it through I'm actually a little impressed. He actually managed to avoid the question really well. Even I didn't notice that he avoided answering a very difficult and pertinent question for him

All wrong. The CORRECT order is

>Kant
>Deleuze
>Whitehead
>Hegel
>Badiou
>Derrida
>Heiddeger
>Wittgenstein

They're all great though. Both heidegger and wittgenstein are top 25 philosophers.

That guy is obviosuly gay. Being attracted to a transwoman as a man is usually not gay, especially if the transwoman is more or less passing. Some people who just fetishize trans people, while i wouldn't say gay, are less straight than people that dont do that. It depends on whether the trans people in the porn they watch behave, or are treated, as women or men in the scene.

Whether suffering is good or bad honestly depends. I think suffering is the best when you've chosen to take it on voluntarily. I remember being at a hospital, and they had to take like 20 tissue and blood test, often within my nose and mouth, and each test hurt only about as badly as stubbing your toe, just lasting a little longer, but over time I came to fear the tests, and by day 5 I was pretty much a ruined wreck, really scared of needles, depressed ect, and when I left my pain tolerance was like 1/10 of what it used to be. One of the most painful things i've ever done, was I ran a marathon, and I got burning sores on my testicles after like 25 km, but I still finished, and since I had high spirits and the "Man, you need to finish this, show yourself you are who you thought you were", even if the run itself was really painful, I still felt empowered by it afterwards.

Well, the pseudo-solipsistic ideas you're bringing up towards the end of your post are refuted, or at least overcome. The idea that humans are selfish and uncaring is also turned on its head. Generally they're just really interesting works, and if you are even remotely philosophically inclined, which you seem to be based off your post, I think you'd find them interesting.
