Don't read anything about it online, even >>14472217 is a huge spoiler honestly, so fuck that guy.

What I liked about it is that it 1) Is just good sci-fi. It has lot of believable, but very fascinating sci-fi concepts that are interwoven with the plot in a way that makes sense. I'm reasonably educated in physics, and I don't think most of whats there is unbelieveable. Certainly never broke the immersion. 2) It has a really cool scope. This is kind of spoiler-y but it starts off as a story about a scientist in a labor camp in china, then it moves on til its about the entire multiverse till the end of time, but it does so gradually, and details how humans (individuals and groups) respond to that. 3) It doesn't exactly subvert expectations, its more like it constantly subverts the expectation of subversion. There are tons of times where there seems like the author is setting up a moment for the story to go in a certain way, where it is impossible for the story to go in the way it seems like it is going, and then it goes there anyways, but in a way that's interesting.
