If I really get into the books, I can knock in at least 15 a month.

YES YES YES.

EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS, RIGHT HERE.

But I rather prefer another quote of Discworld persuasion.

"Belief is a powerful Force. It doesn't move mountains, but it creates those who can."

I think that you will things into existence, just because enough people can believe it. Seems logical, compared to the rest of the universe.

Hmm? Oh, sorry, I guess I forgot a word.

I assume... "LIfe isn't about HAVING intelligence, it's about convincing people that you do", would be correct?

No it wasn't. Something profound would come from someone who actually mattered. I browse 4chan; I lost my profundity.

Life isn't about intelligence, it's about convincing people that you do. Shoving people down the ladder will only make someone shake it while you climb. That is to say, condescending behavior leads to a descending social status. Or, to put it as simple as I can, "Don't be rude". Unless you are REALLY good with your people skills, in that case, don't abuse it.

No way, Thurrr is fun to say.

THURR SO MANY.

>> No.542681 [View]

When I pronounce There're, I just say "Thurrrrr". Makes me look stupid. So sometimes it might sound like I'm pronouncing "There's" when I have an "s" sound right after "Thurrr".

So it's like "Thurrrso many different (insert noun) on this campus".

So yeah, Thurrr so many complaints you can make about the butchery of grammar, but someone somewhere is, unbeknown to you, pronouncing it correctly.

I hope you feel bad.

>> No.542671 [View]

Elitist? Yes. Most? No. I am still holding on to the crutch that, as bad as arguments get here, it will never be as bad as /mu/.

I hope.

It might. I'm taking journalism in University, hoping that one day I could write a book, get it published, get it read, and have it remembered. Nothing serious, I'd probably approach writing along the lines of PTerry's works, but that's just fanaticism towards his novels.

So if I do end up just writing funny books with interesting twists on current political, economical and technological problems, then yeah, I guess it wouldn't really matter.

ZWG? That's where I dump all the things I've forgotten or gave up on. The story I'm working on right now is my Ace in the hole; I wouldn't put it here even if you asked real nice-like... Not that you would, anyway. Call it a creator's paranoia, but putting something that you work really really hard on on 4chan seems to be one of the stupider things you could do. Putting it on the internet in general is stupid, and risky business.

>> No.542608 [View]

>Post it just for 4chan.

Why waste it on /lit/?

Refine the story, keep building on it, save it for later when you think you might have a chance at publishing it.

None, really. The closest thing I got is "Agnostic-Atheism", but that's not a religion.

I've been reading mostly Fantasy novels. Discworld, to be precise. Catching up on my reading, since I've only been reading Wizards and Death novels. City Watch novels are fuck-awesome.

Hey /lit/, what are your reading habits?

I mean, everyone reads differently. Postures, Durations, Genres...

What do you do while you're reading a book?

I enter a sort of trance. I don't eat, drink or sleep until I'm either done, or if I'm interrupted. Books for me are not only a distraction when there isn't any food around (I don't notice that I'm hungry), but also a method of time traveling for me (I don't fully grasp the passage of time while reading).
