Alright alright, it's on the list in my mind.

I've heard a couple of my hipster friends talking about it every now and then, and how good it was. I'll look out for it. The problem with here is that we don't... Actually have a library. The library we do have is tiny and just stocks Non-Fiction books and text books. So finding these books will cost me money, which is something I'm low on. But reading is worth the money in my opinion

That's very religious isn't it? I mean I'm an atheist so do you think I'll still enjoy it? Not to be closed minded or anything, just wondering...

Much appreciated, my older friend.

Sup /lit/,
I'm an Ausfag in my final year of High School, problem is my school is public and, well, sucks. We don't have a High school reading program, and the book reports we get are on stuff by Morris Gleitzman, and other books written for Tweens. It sucks, so I was wondering if you could list some books that are standard for High School so I don't have to catch up and read them when I'm older.

tl;dr - What are some High School level books.
>Hendrix unrelated.

Personally it's not the whole Tripfags vs. Anon war that gets me, I couldn't care less. It's the fact that this shit clogs up the front page and other 15 pages of a board about writing and books.

Mine didn't have a glossary either. I just eventually picked up on the words.
The book itself I thought was great, but Burgess himself called it over-rated compared to his other work, so I guess I'll have to read his other novels to see how it compares.

I haven't read 2001: A Space Odyssey, but I will put it on my list of things to read now.
I agree on the outline.. Espcially on what could be a difficult project, depending on what route you take.

I think the idea is great personally, I mean it wouldn't work with Humans, using an animal as majestic as the Panda is a good idea. And the ending sounds perfect. It's almost like making a dark gloomy children's book.

I must go to bed now, but I look forward to the updates on the story. Good luck to you and your writing :)

I'm sure everyone on /lit/ would love to read the finished peice, including myself. Did you get past how the Panda was going to view things? Is he talking?

I'm deeply interested in this story for some strange reason...

Who here on /lit/ has read this? I finished it about two weeks ago and now I'm watching the film.
Why why why do films dumb down the plot of a book? Why don't they leave the 12 year old boy AS a 12 year old boy?

Stupid Hollywood...

I need to know, does anyone else start writing someone and then think 'Wow, this is total shit and I don't know why I'm bothering?', and give up?
Or do I just have unusually low self-esteem?

Picture unrelated, but hey, Pink Floyd.
