itt we see who can write the most 'post' on to post-modern before they get bored no cheating and has to be done on your fone.

This is not a waste of time. If you want to live the literary lifestyle you will do this.

terrible. This book might have been cool to read as a 13 year old but no older than that.

>*heavy breathing* but it was written in the 40s asshole

So what? The concept is great but it's written so poorly in the way you would expect from a devout follower of 'the scientific method'. It's pure ideology, and any interesting existential aspects that could be developed from the concept are shoved aside to ram that ideology in your mind. Another point, lack of description isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the way he does it comes off as pure laziness. As an adult you should be able to see through all the one dimensional characters and the purpose they serve. Again this is probably done so Asimov can keep ramming that reddit ideology down your throat.

I believe pseuds exist but I've never known one. Some people I met have tried a little too hard to impress or a little overzealous with their intellectualism, but I don't think they're pseuds no matter how much I may have disagreed with them. I feel like the closest I've been to seeing a real life pseud are the times I've looked at my reflection and felt pride.

Whenever I fuck a girl, I always find it important to beat the shit out of her while I'm going deep.

By doing this, she associates the pleasure of sex with my dominant authority over her. In her mind I become like a tyrannical Adonis, and starts to want me even more because of how boss I am.

what did you expect from a psychologist? The guy is just a firebrand. Much of what he says is common sense but he tries to push it to the extreme to stay relevant. For example he identifies himself as a 'Christian' because while he doesn't believe in the faith he wants to emulate Christ's values (or at least how he interprets them). That's like me saying I'm a 'Diogenesean' because I happen to relate most to his brand of philosophy.

yes. To be honest I didn't believe it until I read some loser's essay on why Star Wars was a more realistic depiction of the future than Star Trek and I was convinced.

It's also incredibly arrogant to assume that the Maker owes it to you to make the world a place of happy ponies and nice plushie toys

But it's worth asking the question as to why it didn't.

I always saw the main theme as being how a totalitarian regime could have a stranglehold on society despite their views not being shared by the majority. But I read it ten years ago when all this feminist stuff wasn't so pronounced in the media.

>> No.12109089 [View]

it's great and the feminist issues are massively overstated by men and women who watched the show but probably didn't read the book.
