yeah, that's why i wanted to read the book. the movie was great, but the book goes into way more depth obviously, and there's A LOT more characters. You get a much better sense of the town

It's a non-fictional account about a small town obsessed with high school football

it doesn't sound like much of a plot, but they're actually a pretty scathing depiction of the American small-town with a lot of economic, political and racial commentary

I've read the Bible from cover to cover (yes, I'm a Christian, but I'm not militant). Took me a few years on and off. Great read overall, but obviously really slow at some points.

I've read a little of the Koran. It's a tougher read because of the way it's written. Just like one huge book of Psalms pretty much.

Hindu texts are EPIC, but it's hard to keep track of what the hell if going on. Haven't read much in way of other serious religious stuff though.

I haven't read that, but I think that's considered his worst. He excels at non-fiction.

What does /lit/ think of Chuck Klosterman's work?

I just read Killing Yourself to Live and am planning to pick up Fargo Rock City soon. I like his humorous observations (even though his pop culture references get annoying sometimes) and how he continually makes fun of his own personal failings.

inb4hipster faggot, etc.
