I really don't approve of children being used as political tools, and she *is* a yacht-riding hypocrite, but the kid is entirely right. Climate change is a bad and vague term imo. It's a moral problem as much as it is economic and legislative. Consumption is out of control and the brakes are off. The planet will be fine. Humans could easily go exitinct, however.

very extremely tired man is writing a story
he goes for a winter night walk
stops at a market
buys some instant coffee and a ham sandwich
goes home and makes coffee
falls asleep at his desk while trying to think of a premise
when he wakes up its summertime and the problem of having to write a story is gone
it was all a nightmare
he leaves his room and says good morning to his beautiful wife
they go to breakfast, he orders bacon and coffee

>Poor Faulkner. Does he really think big emotions come from big words? He thinks I don’t know the ten-dollar words. I know them all right. But there are older and simpler and better words, and those are the ones I use. Did you read his last book? It’s all sauce-writing now, but he was good once. Before the sauce, or when he knew how to handle it.

Sauce writing is impaired writing.

the best guys for this are schizoposters though and they frequently don't make sense because they try to condense all of their thought and pass it off to you like a virus instead of crafting something beautiful that you want more of

fpbp.

I'm not sure about Evola or Guenon, Evola's alchemy stuff seemed like a waste of time if you've already read Joseph Campbell. As useful as Picatrix or Lesser Key or Crowley.

Would recommend Rene Girard if you're going to read the Greeks-Christians. The Scapegoat or I See Satan Fall Like Lightning.

>Give me something that will help me live a better life.
Unironically read the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and if you don't believe then read it as a stoic handbook. Like you would Epictetus.

yeh, and I just noticed it's from the late 90s, early 2000s, and some of the bits and pieces might seem to borrow a bit from elder scrolls. ebony/gold armor, drow/dunmer guy, high elf guy, bug armor guy, orcs, imperial legion human guy.

incidentally have you read Three Musketeers and them? Dumas is king of this sword and costume stuff, minus the magic.
