never even stepped foot in willard-straight, but the asian stacks are always pretty quiet. will occasionally chill at temple of zeus (i like their soup). the new part of goldwin-smith is pretty dope, too. mann is ok, but far away.

when it's nice out, i like to bike to the plantations and chill there with a book; or stewart park, which is another favorite.

do undergrads make it down to fall creek very often? i see you all around the commons, but it seems like all the more outdoors-oriented zones are primarily ithacans and graduate students...

i read probably around 5-7 hours a day. honestly, i'm independently wealthy, and with medical leave i have all the time in the world. my days consist only in self-improvement and friends. ironically, cancer has led me to an ideal public life--something approaching the aristotelian principle.

i lost two years to cancer; i'm still on medical leave on a 5-year chemo plan, but i'm a little behind in terms of publications. i work mainly on my dissertation at this point, but i have several other projects going as well.

i have three papers that have reached R&R and will probably be published in the next year or so: one at political theory, one at APSA, and one at a more random publication. i'll send you those if you'd like.

you're an undergrad? what year? you taken anything in government? may have taught you if so.

i'm not a fan of libe, green dragon, etc. white hall at night is great--i have an office there, as well as a kiosk in olin. stella's in collegetown used to be my hangout, but then they shut down; it was chapter house for a while, but then that fucking burned down, so, you know...

mainly when in ithaca i just read at my own place/with my gf at her place.

but i'm living back in DC now (my hometown)--i read a lot at the kogod courtyard (national potrait gallery), georgetown's campus (my sister went there/i went to georgetown prep; random note--also where gorsuch went), raku/jaleo in bethesda, and the public library in rockville (where my gf lives now)
