/lit/ loves the classics and they're very popular, popularity has nothing to do with anything here, /lit/ would hate twilight even if it was some obscure book.

>Understand that if she says she understood James Joyce’s Ulysses she’s just saying that to sound intelligent.

At least these types of hipsters admit their limited intelligence.

Also this one, only because I hate Jews as much as Shakespeare and because they made a movie about it.

Pick books with dialogues on them, even better if they are nothing but dialogues, read them and re-read theam, write them down and re-write them down, start making little modifications, copy their style, make them your own, and do this on a one to several hours a day basis untill you achieve, sire. Godspeed

I really like to read Lyndon LaRouche, I may not agree with him on every single thing, or rather, sometimes I feel I don't disagree with him on anything at all, I just don't particulary embrace some of his stances and beliefs on various matters.

For me is easy to understand, it is writen in my language, I am the underground man, I speak his language, I correlate with absolutely everything he says, somethings more than others of course. I would gleefully explain you any part

I would only buy a book of this kind if it offered a well researched background on the matter with alot of examples and articles, and as well as function as a guide for vice and pleasure seeking.

Imagine, after reading a somewhat soapy story about several types of prostitutes in an area what would follow would be tips, on how to get a cheap and clean girl and what type of things to avoid and so on.

I don't hate Harry Potter, but I am sure thankful I never read a Harry Potter book.

Herman Hesse introfuced me to literature.
Herman Hesse forever you motherfuckers.

I dont know OP, I was bullied at some point because I acted like an emo-faggot pretty much, but when I wasnt depressed and had enough energy I was the socialite bullie and pretty much thats the message of my story... I either bullied or was a bullie... of course those times are gone, I like to believe I am not a prick anymore and that I have enough self respect to stand out for myself if its ever neeeded

Every translation sucks equally pretty much, get one of those modern extended aniversary translation that talk about how they are much better than previous translations because they also include material that was omited.

Amazon is your friend.

Damned OP, give us the name of the book and/or her name, so we can google her and have a look!

Why didn't you aproached her?
Why didn't you invited home upon finding out she had no one?
Why didn't you slept with a failed author?
That's /lit/s greatest fantasy, to have sex with a non ugly failed author

I wish there was a book titled "Why am I not a Zionist - Said" It would be the best. I love Edward said, perhaps I am a fan.

If any of you is about to read the Collector, skip part two, only read part one and what comes after part two ends. Part two is from the point of view of Miranda. Skip that liberal drivel.

Because he introduced us to German philosophy and spoke of Asian philosophy as well, thing that is very common of Germans, the respect they have for Asians [and other Germans, even if they don't particuklary agree with eachother]. He is the German that made me get into other Germans, and those other Germans: Schopenhauer, Kant, Hegel, and Wagner, made my interests in even more Germans grow, although, for me, the German that truly started my journy was Herman Hesse with his novel Demian.

But, there is also the dark side of Nietzche you know, he is also the saint patron of atheist teenagers alongside Dawkins, and at a less childish degree Russell (Still a very British influential political activist overrated aspie faggot of epic proportions though).
