That's another thing, there's a theory postulated by a rabbi I was watching that Peter was also sort of working in the same fashion as Paul except he was working for the Jews not the Romans in order to subvert Christianity and get foreigners accept it so it wouldn't seem as palatable to the Jews.

This means, if Jesus was really real he had alot of enemies, including those in his ranks.

Protestant translation of Isa 9:6 (RSV, most others use similar wording)
>For to us a child is born,to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Catholic translation of Isa 9:6 (NABRE, they number it as v. 5)
>For a child is born to us, a son is given to us;upon his shoulder dominion rests. They name him Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero, Father-Forever, Prince of Peace.

Fascism is bad, unironically, bros. I won’t try to insult or look down on you but it’s no good. I get it though. Intense alienation leads you down super fucked up, dark paths but fascism is the most demented and nihilistic one you can go down.

Deutsches Requiem. I also like the backstory of why he wrote it - he was disgusted by all the Nazis weeping and cravenly shifting the blame for the concentration camps so he wrote a fictionalNazi that took responsibility for his actions. Wonderful little story.

In the Gospels in the Temptation in the Desert, was that an allegory for the Universe/God wrestling with Itself?

I'd like to discuss The NIGGER of the "Narcissus" by Joseph Conrad. How many here have actually read The NIGGER of the "Narcissus"? And what impression did The NIGGER of the "Narcissus" leave on you? The NIGGER, if you will, seems to be a rather peculiar piece of work. Even after a thorough reread I'm not prepared to say I comprehend the NIGGER fully. No other book has given me as much trouble as the NIGGER. Indeed over time the "Narcissus" and its NIGGER have become the proverbial bone in my throat. Great many words in this oeuvre are dedicated to the NIGGER. Greater amount still - to the NIGGER's precarious happenstance. Excepting of course the one true elephant in the room - why the NIGGER?. Rough living is hardly a point of attraction to the NIGGER. So tell me about the NIGGER: why does it reside on the "Narcissus"?

Why don't we have literary sensations anymore? It used to be that every 5 year rotation would yeild a culturally impactful literary figure.

Oh you mean the poorly articulated, barely existent religious position that requires no actual faith, any alterations in behavior, any adherence to ethical systems that faggot teenagers online get into to be distance themselves from atheists and orthodox religious people? You mean that gnosticism? That one?

As an Ex-Marxist who converted to Christianity, one thing I always had an intense hatred for was how newly minted Marxists would affect this creepy religious language about Marxism. You’ll know it when you see it but it would infuriate me, probably more than was actually warranted, to no end. It made sense since many new leftists are typically from a conservative background like Judaism or Catholicism. I wasn’t raised religious and had been a left wing socialist my whole life until that point so I can kind of imagine how must Catholics feel about overeager converts.

Whatever you do OP, don’t be whatever that was. Those people were more often deranged than was normal for far left politics.
