On the sand floor of his endless sea, his withered body was bound by haphazardly spun rusted chains to a broken and leaning marble pillar. Before his imagined death, there was a struggle to heave the chains away and swim to the surface. His hands were mangled around the chains, his chest and head were freed. Only the chains kept his corpse from floating to the surface. His hair followed the calm waves, back and forth ever so often. Looking within the corpse's agape jaws, a dark cold sting ran down James' spine. Luke looked at peace, if not afraid.
The voice continued, "The want to cease. To finally be at peace."
"Luke, I can help you," James said, looking at the restrained body.
"You do not understand, I am afraid," the voice said, "terrified to live, terrified of that primal urge to chew my leg off and free myself."
