You know one thing that I still don't understand?

...Why was Zampano's diary (in the Appendices) written in fifteen or so different handwritings?

...And who wrote the Pelican Poems?

Hey /lit/le girls, I was wondering if any of you could help me out.

I have a ton of unread books I've been buying en masse, and my library and room is horribly messy. I thought it would be a great idea to tick off my reading list by having an app on my phone (well, I use an iPhone) that had a 'virtual library' look to it.

I used to have Delicious Library for my Mac, but I want a library in my pocket. I don't intend to read these books as ebooks, I just want to see the covers and titles so I can tell myself to read and finish.

Do any of you know any apps or suggestions? (PEN AND PAPER, KEEP A FOLDED NOTE IN YOUR POCKET AT ALL TIMES, etc)

Pic related: this was Delicious Monster for the iPhone. The app got yanked. :(

Everybody knows Zampano and Karen and Pelafina had an epic threesome that gave birth to the House.

I mean, everybody knows that.

I purchased my copy (the SF masterworks edition) at a bookstore here called BookXcess for what would cost about $3.

Great book. If BookXcess does international orders, you could grab it for cheap.

Site is bookxcess.com I believe.

>Accepting Koelble
by Paul Hellion

Sorry, I didn't get what you meant, which bit in my tl;dr were you referring to?

Read this while I was traveling in China. It was actually a pretty amazing book. Loved the whole Redeker bits and all that; I'd have been happier if it'd got less American-centric after the Battle of Hope.

I've read House of Leaves a million times, and I've written a ten page essay describing how side-characters in the book (mostly the names of girls Johnny fucks) are direct parallels to people I know.

People say it's a terrifying book, but I've never actually been scared by it. It's left an indelible mark on me, and I'd easily unhesitantly call it the greatest book I've ever read, though.

The Johnny bits were amazing because it was an unreliable narrator and you had to keep second-guessing yourself if what he said was true or not, but the Pelafina letters made me cry.

My big qualm with House of Leaves is in The Navidson Record: even if it had been such a huge media event like The Blair Witch Project happened, there's no way there'd be thousands and thousands of books and articles and lectures and short films and reviews of Navidson's films the way Zampano kept citing and citing.
