>How to improve school system
Stop trying to profit off it?

Someone the other day was saying school's need shit like big fancy libraries to attract students, even if they're full of crap, and I've been thinking a bit about that. If schools need to attract lots of kids then they don't care about anything but looking cool and reputation. I suppose they work on keeping job placement up, but that's about all that's useful.

Also, getting a English / Art / Philosophy / etc degree is pretty ridiculous in this day and age. The access to learning materials is higher than ever (internet), books are cheaper than ever (get exactly the book you need off Amazon, used, for 1/10 the price), and I can't think of a third point. Basically, you can make your own education these days, so if you want to learn you just learn. Sometimes, I just wish there was some certification test I could take that would say, "You've read a shit ton, you can write, you have the GED version of an English degree."

>what is truth
I can't stand that sort of shit. How about, have a system of beliefs that doesn't require "what is truth what is good what right" questions. Not that hard.

Don't fuck kids. Why? Because kids get fucked up in the head when you fuck them. How do I know? Because of the mountains of data that have been accumulated on this subject? This is not brain surgery.

14: Crime Farmers

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, boss.”

The farmer’s skin was rough from years of sun. His clothes were in bad shape too, his jeans covered in paint from a dozen odd jobs, and the knees were nearly worn through.

“Can I get back to work?”

“You’re not going anywhere, son,” the cop said. The farmer was in his forties.

“I don’t know anything about any dead girl, you can’t take me anywhere.”

“I didn’t say anything about a girl.”

>poetics wiki
>Poetics refers generally to the theory of literary discourse and specifically to the theory of poetry, although some speakers use the term so broadly as to denote the concept of "theory" itself.
