Mr vulagrian brainlet, the source doesnt matter if its true; does Guenon's ideas of Tradition stem from his belief in this Hyperborea?

And no one intelligent is advocating for an irrational or random mix-mashing of traditions, but to absorb the highest truths and wisdom from every tradition. Seems like a strawman conception of syncretism.

>The reasons for Guénon’s belief are complex, but they have to do with his view of the ages as a gradual movement (and decline) from a pure and direct contact with the primordial source of Tradition, which he associates with prehistoric polar civilisation known as Hyperborea. Over the millennia, contact with this Tradition has become more and more occluded so that in our time we are almost entirely cut off from it.

Syncretism is the most enlightened path (taking the best from everything).

> 11th generation Dragon Gate priests Min Yi-De (闵一得) combined three religions (Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism) together to develop the "Dragon convenience methods". The principle is "learn from Buddhism, to comply with the precepts, diligently practice inner alchemy arts", so that the Dragon Gate branch became thriving. Dragon Gate is currently the largest existing Taoism branch in the world.

96:7.3.No collection of religious writings gives expression to such a wealth of devotion and inspirational ideas of God as the Book of Psalms. And it would be very helpful if, in the perusal of this wonderful collection of worshipful literature, consideration could be given to the source and chronology of each separate hymn of praise and adoration, bearing in mind that no other single collection covers such a great range of time. This Book of Psalms is the record of the varying concepts of God entertained by the believers of the Salem religion throughout the Levant and embraces the entire period from Amenemope to Isaiah. In the Psalms God is depicted in all phases of conception, from the crude idea of a tribal deity to the vastly expanded ideal of the later Hebrews, wherein Yahweh is pictured as a loving ruler and merciful Father.

96:7.4.And when thus regarded, this group of Psalms constitutes the most valuable and helpful assortment of devotional sentiments ever assembled by man up to the times of the twentieth century. The worshipful spirit of this collection of hymns transcends that of all other sacred books of the world.

How does the act of interpreting nullify or invalidates God's original intent. Just because someone can answer the problem 1+1 incorrectly, that doesnt mean there is no correct answer.

You as an individual must decide what you believe is true. Even if you assent to a religious authority and their religious opinions, you as a person still decided for yourself that they are a trustworthy source of religious truth.

Interpreting yourself rather then assenting to the interpretation of an external religious authority does not mean putting yourself above God, it doesnt imply or necessitate putting yourself above him or using him whimsically.

You assume God can only communicate through the written word? God cannot communicate directly or by other means?

And God cannot help us to discern truth? Or to interpret 'correctly?

>There is no God, outside the one constructed in each individuals mind.
This is silly. How can people freely interpreting what they consider to be true, affect the actual truth of God?

My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
