It's excellent; well worth reading. If you enjoy it, you should definitely consider reading some of Orwell's nonfiction, like "Homage to Catalonia." Way too many people read "Nineteen Eighty-Four" and "Animal Farm" and stop there.

I see. Are these audio of courses originally done with video, or were they conceived as audio courses?

About how long are they?

Thanks!

I see. How much do these things cost? I don't do Audible so I don't really understand how their token system works. I assume you'd strongly recommend the ones you've posted?

Does anyone else here use The Great Courses? I've been subscribed for about a month now; right now I'm doing "The Black Death: The World's Most Devastating Plague" and "Understanding the Old Testament." If you also use it, are there any courses you'd recommend? I'm considering doing the course on the Divine Comedy.

I'm enjoying the service a lot so far. It's close to what we were originally promised the Internet would be. Of course, it's easier to half-ass it when you don't have actual assignments to keep you accountable, but this can be a good exercise in self-discipline as well.

I like JBP a lot, though he is certainly the embodiment of the anti-communist who knows nothing about communism other than that Stalin and Mao killed 90348503945830495 people.
