I suggest you take some time to study the nature of myths and stopping thinking in the medieval duality that plagues so many. There is nothing 'metaphysical' going on in the 'holy' books I'm familiar with. They're practical solutions to real problems. They're an aid. To strictly read them for the plot and entertainment is to read them wrong and to cheat yourself and others with the stupid opinions that you'd yield from them.
