I feel all of your points. People need authority of some kind, don’t you think? Do you really think China is such a monolith? I am desensitized to the clown meme world anymore. I can only improve myself. I can’t carry the world on my shoulders.

Finishing up The Red Book. I feel like his revelations are mostly common sense or tailored to himself and what works for him. The dialogues get slightly repetitive, with Jung taking exception to a statement and calling names. He was quite the name caller. I don’t find the writing exceptional, like the introduction claimed, however it is intelligent. The best thing I got from was the techniques themselves. Jung was an intuitive genius on how to interact with the subconscious mind.

I consider myself an outlier, more than an outsider. I am simply not ready yet for my art to take center stage. I am still learning about life. If you mean “marginalized” I don’t think I appreciate the word as anything more than a crutch. But no one I know has ever published any kind of art.

Whether it's accelerationism or just plain nihilism, ever since the last American election I've been kind of apathetic to the meme-politics of our day. I find I've been diving into books about history, historical fiction, and anything to do with the past. I find my vision of how the future will play out similar to Bladerunner cyberpunkian visages. I am a classical liberal, no communist by any means, and I feel more at ease with the ghosts of yesteryear. Am I nostalgia-pilled, or just aged? On the other hand, I've been listening more to current pop radio. I don't know, I just get the impression that what with Biden being so Bideny and the Media talking about memes, that I have been left behind. I am non judgmental about trans rights, don't really care one way or another about them, but they are just one issue to take for example on how I feel disconnected from the entire conversation.

there is no philosophical consistency in your post.

That being said, just go watch Lion King, and tell everyone it's just like Hamlet, like my AP English teacher did in senior year.

Fuck meme think.

I am from a rural area and there are a lot of men like your dad around. The anthem “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynerd comes to mind. If I had to define masculinity it would be:

1. A code of fairness, whether in sports or raising kids or business
2. Humor

After that you get individual types, and in my experience when people say, “be a man!” They are referring to stoic virtues.

I am an outlier in my hometown, and I don’t practice the Get’r’done ethos, so I just try my best to learn about myself.

Nobody thinks of it as a golden age when you are in it. It is definitely not "debunked for a while." Araby was very influential, and all serious history buffs acknowledge this. In fact, it is pervasive. I don't really care, I'm just saying, you are kind of nuts to say this. And you are projecting this "jealousy" concept pretty hardcore.

Jung was so ambiguous that the best Jungian books are written by people like Murray Stein and other disciples of his. The best book of Jung's that I read was his collected writings on the Active Imagination technique.

When you break with reality, you have all these non-real ideations, right? But after you get back on the real, it's like they were all BS. So, your unconscious mind still thinks they're real, that that reality was true. It takes years to recover. >>18762612
