Dedication and follow-through are not the strong suits of neets. I tried to make a 24 page comic for 24 hour comic day, but it fell through.
I think starting off small with SMART (google it) goals is key to growth.
You're not going to start off with your magnum opus. And its easy to get discouraged when you have unrealistic expectations. I personally set myself up for failure, wanted to make an entire VN when I can't complete a small project.
It has to do with being realistic and accepting where you're at. Then starting small and appreciating the progress you're making even when its slow.
