yes, assuming you choose something with a similar "level of speech" vns are easier than lns because well you have voices which help with making things comprehensible.
the best beginner material however is jp-subbed anime because everything is voiced, you have little narration which tend to be the hardest lines in vns and make up a huge percentage of their text usually, and you have moving pictures to help with comprehensibility
