I think it's probably the best of the options I've seen, the ones featuring characters in the actual spoiler background didn't look too good, Touhou or otherwise and the Japanese text version of the traditional spoiler image wasn't bad but would have annoyed a lot of people with the way it looked weeaboo as all hell.

Japanese Bird Cooking Spaghetti wasn't too bad, but the spoiler on the pasta looked pretty bad at 100x100 pixels. Plus it originates from a troll spam image, you could just as well use dawson if we were to keep it.

OP, check 'Tonari Atte Futari, Mukai Atte Sannin' by Personal Color. Not quite dark but a bit depressing. The art style is gorgeous and the overall story was really touching, specially for those interested in Yuyuko's backstory and her relation with Yukari. I used to dislike that circle because they made a lot of Marisa-Alice doujins which weren't worthwhile but this one changed my mind.
Also, I recently read 'Here no More' by DEMOUR402 and it fits your request. It's just another doujin about the relation between Remilia and Flandre but it was rather well done, specially the action scenes.
