What are your favorite themes for characters that have multiple themes? (no stage themes unless it also counted served as a character theme as Ancient Temple did for Youmu)

This is very hard for me because I tend to like them all, but here are my current picks:

Why don't you kids like the touhoes?

As I was flipping through the channels, I saw something on the Sundance channel named "The Great Youkai War." Naturally, I switched over to watch it.

I was thoroughly disappointed in that it wasn't what I expected.

I'm been making a 2d scroller shooter for my portfolio. I'm not planning on selling it, it's gonna be open source.

it will probably be okay to make it touhou themed right?
if so, do you think it will be okay for me to use the music from touhou?

Foraging for wild roots and nuts one day, you accidentally become lost in the woods away from the village. As darkness falls, and you still have yet to find your way back to the village, fear sticks its icy claw into your gut. These woods are not safe at all after dark. Carefully, cautiously, you wind your way around overly rambunctious fairies playing danmaku with one another, and give wide birth to a dancing swirl of fireflies with some likely highly dangerous girl playing in the midst of them. Desperation sets in, as even the light of the moon seems less and less sufficient to find your way. Have you gone so far into the woods that the trees have blocked almost all light?

A sudden wave of relief hits you as you hear a beautiful voice echo through the woods. You can somehow manage to discern where it comes from, and decide for reasons that aren't clear to you to follow the voice. Though the voice is wondrous, the lyrics of the song are... well, odd. At the very least, you are comforted by the fact that the voice is extolling the wonders of eating eel, rather than human flesh, and press on in hopes of finding someone who might help guide you home.

You stumble through the brambles, and can finally dimly make out what appears to be a small food stand. Even the lantern lights of this apparently grilled eel stand seems impossibly dim. A young woman with odd clothes and strange wings flips skewers of eel over the grill.

"Oh, traveler, traveler, bloodied red, red~.
He looks like he's scared out of his heady head~.
It's dark, too dark, indeed, for human eyes, eyes~.
But I'm selling a cure. It's true, no lies lies~.
All you need is to eat some tasty eel, eel~
It’s the wondrous night blindness curing meal, meal~!
Sight returns with great speed, speed~.

Greetings, /jp/ .I have played , EoSD, PCB and IN . Which game should i play now?

How did you first discover Touhou?

Here's my steps:
1. Played Stepmania, had a (mostly eroge) song pack with IOSYS's Phantasmagoria Mystical Expectation. Also saw Marisa Stole the Precious Thing, but went "wtf" and mistook it for a Satoko fanvid

2. Played Tsukihime, used randomly picked songs for use, and ended up with Phantasmagoria Mystical Expectation as the opening song. Said song got stuck in my head, but still didn't know where it came from and thought it was from some hentai game with terrible art.

3. Played Phoenix Wright, was looking at Youtube videos and saw a PW parody of IOSYS's Make Us Your Bride! The video linked to Phantasmagoria Mystical Expectation. I became interested in what it was all from, and gathered that it was all based on something called "Touhou".

4. Searched "touhou" on YouTube. Clicked on first thing that came up. Shat bricks at the awesomeness of the whole Mokou ordeal and her theme.

5. Downloaded Imperishable Night, liked it, downloaded 6 and 7 as well.

6. After playing the games for a while, I then ventured back to check out the doujin music and comics based on Touhou. Somewhere along the line, also discovered /jp/ when I realized it was basically a board for exactly the franchises I was interested in, especially since I was growing tired of most anime and videogames. All this, along with great character theme songs, made me grow attached to the cast and world of Gensokyo. Touhoufan +1.


So, what's your tale?

I'm slowly becoming a touhou fag. I listen to touhou music while doing just about everything. Right now, Toho Mathematics. I read yukkuri. I'm strangely fascinated by all the fanart. I haven't played any of the games, but I think I might start soon at this rate... Anyone know what level of a toho fag I am?
