Alright /jp/, I don't usually post here but I figured you guys would be knowledgeable in this. And before I ask, know that I'm not a weeaboo faggot.

Anyway, I have a unique opportunity with my employer to be able to live in Japan for a year or so. But I just want to know, should I go for it?

Whats the quality of life in Japan like? How will I be treated by the natives? If any of you could give me a general idea on what it's like for an American to live in Japan, I would be forever in debt to you guys.

Femanon here. I'm going to Japan in a few months and I just was wondering what I should avoid in order to not get raped/kidnapped/whatever while I'm there. Of course I know not to be stupid and use common sense, but are there any cultural things I should know?

Also, what are some places that are a must-visit? I'm going to be staying in Tokyo.
