Personally I read the line not as 'why did you save me the cliff ruined my genitals' but rather 'I should have died that day rather than go on living with my ruined genitals'. Because Shion never wanted this. She just was a cold blooded and matter-handling person. For her, one thing led to another and when she looked back, she suddenly realized what she did and went insane out of regret. I understand that tassing Mion was a mistake on her part and that tassing her grandmother was a HORRIBLE mistake on her part. But I can picture myself making this sort of a mistake fairly well and I can also imagine myself deforming my way of thinking into "well I'm going to get busted anyway so let's use this little time I have left to find out as much truth as I can", transforming into "WELL I AM FUCKED FOR LIFE SO IF YOU WON'T TELL ME THE TRUHT I'LL MAKE YOU EAT YOUR SHIT UP".

Why did r07s writing style change so much though, in huragashi there was almost always a first person view, but there was some 3rd person, but in umineko its always 3rd person but for that one part when battler was trapped in the room and couldn't escape, which i thought was done really well. I think his first person style was better because you were able to understand the person more and also read their thoughts. maybe thats why the characters come of as shallow.

I think Kyrie was actually God, who in all His magnanimousness decided to put the unclean heathens from the Ushiromiya family into a test for redemption. Kyrie used His messengers, Maria and Yasu (it's a reference to Iesu - i.e.our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ) to deliver His message and to put forth the test. However, the Ushiromiyas, being a representation of all the sins, refused to listen to our Lord's merciful message, and thus, sadly, they had to be punished, and Rokkenjima became another Sodom and Gomorrah.

Not all of them were a lost case. There were 2 good sheep who deserved salvation. One of them was Eva. However, she had fallen prey of many sins, and thus, our Lord left her without her Adam. In addition, she had to atone for her sinful ways for the rest of her life. The other survivor was Battler, which would be a representation of Job. At the end, after seeing how the Lord - who all gives - took everything away from him, and accepted it, he was rewarded with a new life. And thus, Battler died, and Tohya was born. Together with his new partner, they write Christian stories to spread the word of our Lord.

As for Ange, she was viral marketing for hamburgers, nothing to see there.

Thinking about the woman who was behind takano and her side of the goverment needed the disaster to happen is one thing, and I believe that it can(or could have) shed some light on mysteries in Umineko, given that they are connected. Which they may not be. But "saying Bern is really Rika" is just like Ryukushi's goats. The thing about the goats is, none of what they are saying DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING. That's the point. She could, but that's why her past is important. Every time she tried to move on, shit happened. Her parents died, new life at the orphanage. Life at the orphanage was living hell, manage to escape and meet Hifumi. Finally find some peace, and people at Hinamizawa make your peaceful days little by little, until your saviour died without achieving his goal. Sure, she could have chosen a different path, but after so much, I can sympathise with what she did. I do condemn her actions. She killed many innocent people in many realities, and in seriously brutal ways, but I think every single person have a point to which they no longer want to be rational.

They didn't do anything important, and they felt really awkward and out of place in their support roles for Battler's OPERATION SAVE ANGE.
