Figure thread I guess

There are tons of figure brands
>01 Studio, 1000Toys, 27abyss, Alter, Starry Sky, Max Milk Studio, ...
for most of them I can't find anything about the company/manufacture behind it.
Is there a way to find out more about them. Are those names just shitty translations?
I imagine a good portion of them might be chinese.

I looked through the guide, it mentions a couple more manufactures and suggests to look up quality on myfigurecollection.
Its more like user reviews, not a lot of infos about the maker.
Its weird you'd expect at least some shops post info about their supplier

I have quite a few figures of my waifu Hatsune Miku and just ordered a few more.
Yet I must confess, I have never opened the box of even one of them.
Am I wrong?
That said, I expect to buy a display case sometime this year and put them all on display. I didn't want to open them until I had a suitable home for them.
